Sony SmartWatch Review
At a glance
The Good: Tests showed that the battery lasts about the stated four to five days, longer than most smart watches available currently.
The Bad: Works only on Android phones. Setting up is complex and can be confusing.
Final words: The lack of iOS compatibility and readability in bright sunlight are the biggest drawbacks of the device. For Android users, this is a pretty good companion to your smart phone.
The Sony SmartWatch has many beneficial functions that can bring a lot of joy to your connected world. The main downside of it is that the touchscreen can be a bit unresponsive and difficult to use. The touchscreen size is also an issue as you might tap on the wrong icon or find that the multitouch gestures are difficult to execute.
Design
The Sony SmartWatch is so light (42g), that you almost do not feel it on you. At 1.42 inches wide by 1.42 inches tall, it is also extremely well sized and portable. The minimalist design is attractive and is complemented by a beautiful 1.3-inch Oled multi-touch touchscreen display. However, the Oled screen loses its appeal under sunlight, where the show becomes much harder to read as compared to the Pebble or Motorola MotoActv.
